What happens to what you paste.

• Uploaded files stay on your device. A PDF, Word or text file you pick is opened in your browser to pull out its text. The file itself is never sent to us.
• Résumé and job description text is not stored. It's sent a single time to our matching model, scored, and dropped. We keep a one-way fingerprint of the text (a SHA-256 hash), which can't be turned back into it.
• What we keep. The result itself: the role, which responsibilities matched, the experience level for each, and the scores, under a random result ID. It has no name or other detail about you attached.
• Your full report. Your score is free to see. If you enter your email to open the full report, we store that email with the result's ID so the report is yours, plus your choice about update emails. We never store the résumé itself, and you can reply to any email from us to have your email deleted.
• What never enters a score. Name, age, gender, race, school, photo, location, employment gaps or any other personal attribute. Scores come only from the work your résumé describes.
• Sharing is your call. A résumé result stays private until you press "Get a shareable card". Only then does its link show your Human Edge score and strongest responsibilities.
• Updates. If you leave your email, we store it with what you asked for (a role to add, updates on a role, or early access) and email you only about that. Reply to any email from us to be removed.
• Feedback. Yes/No votes on responsibilities are stored against the result ID to calibrate the index.
• Limiting heavy use. To stop automated copying, we count how many checks each visitor runs per hour. We store a scrambled, one-way code made from your IP address, never the address itself, and delete the counts after 2 days.
• Who processes data for us. Cloudflare hosts the site and database. TypeSafe AI runs the model that reads the text to match it to job responsibilities. It handles that text under its data-processing terms and does not train its models on it. Neither company receives your email from us.
• No sale of data, no ads, no tracking cookies.

Using HumanLens in hiring

HumanLens is decision support. It describes responsibilities and experience in them, and never makes or automates a hiring decision. If you use a résumé result when hiring for a role in a place that regulates automated employment decision tools (for example New York City, or Colorado), you're responsible for the notices those rules require.
